Welcome to WHO’S WHO IN THE 902. I’m Kelly Williams from Keller Williams Select Realty and today on Mortgage Minute with Bruce Lusby of Premiere Mortgage he is going to explain to us THE PAPERWORK YOU NEED AS BUYER TO GET PRE APPROVED.
Good morning Bruce.
B - Good morning. For compliance purposes, I need valid government ID – so driver’s license, front and back or a passport with the photo page and signature page. If they don’t have a passport handy, credit card could do front and back. Each ID needs to be valid, not expired. For proof of income if they are an employee I would need a recent pay stub and an up to date letter of employment from their employer. If income fluctuates, then I’ll need two years of T4 employment reports or two years of income tax documents. I’ll also need proof of down payment, so a bank statement or TFSA statement or a statement from whatever account the funds are coming from. If they don’t have down payment funds, then we can discuss a possible down payment assistance program if they qualify
